All submissions are monitored by a member of the Mortons team and are usually added to the website within 1-2 days. You will also receive an email notification with a unique star reference to help you find your star again.

Remember to check your junk, other, or promotions folders for the email with your unique star reference.

This year, there are two dates for your diary:

📆 Wednesday 27th November, between 5-8 pm
You’re invited to write your own memorial message in person and place it on our giant Tree of Light at our Northfield office. Parking available at Northfield Shopping Centre car park.

📆 From Sunday 8th December
Watch our annual Tree of Light Memorial Service online and honour the lives of those we have loved and lost.

Donations

This year, our Tree of Light Memorial Service 2024 is in support of Motor Neurone Disease Association. Mortons will also be making a donation to the Salvation Army, Droitwich Corps, as a small token of our gratitude for being part of our Tree of Light Memorial Service.

Making Christmas Special for Bereaved Families

We understand that Christmas can be a difficult time of year, when we often feel the loss of a loved one even more. Doing something special as a mark of remembrance can help families to cope and reflect. Here are some of our ideas:

1. Choose a special decoration to place on the Christmas tree
2. Light a memorial candle
3. Write a memorial star for our Tree of Light
4. Share memories over a Christmas meal
5. Have a toast in their honour
6. Watch their favourite Christmas film or listen to their favourite song
7. Hang a stocking in memory and write a note or letter to put inside

As part of our Tree of Light event this year, we have created a children’s activity sheet that can be shared with the family. Completing the activities with children may help to introduce the Tree of Light and allow families to talk about its meaning and importance.
